Good question, according to ancient scripture we are eternal, and we are supposed to live in the kingdom of God, were there is only happiness. But we have forgotten about that and that is why we are not there, but instead living here on earth with a lot of suffering for most of us and only a little happiness. So it is simply forgetfulness of our eternal self, that we have now come to identify ourselves with our present body and think it is the all in all, naturally we suffer. I suggest to read the Bhagavat Gita which gives you all the info, here some quotes related to the subject
Bg 15.7 — The living entities in this conditioned world are My eternal fragmental parts. Due to conditioned life, they are struggling very hard with the six senses, which include the mind.
Bg 15.8 — The living entity in the material world carries his different conceptions of life from one body to another, as the air carries aromas. Thus he takes one kind of body and again quits it to take another.
Bg 15.9 — The living entity, thus taking another gross body, obtains a certain type of ear, eye, tongue, nose and sense of touch, which are grouped about the mind. He thus enjoys a particular set of sense objects.
Bg 13.22 — The living entity in material nature thus follows the ways of life, enjoying the three modes of nature. This is due to his association with that material nature. Thus he meets with good and evil among various species.
Bg 13.23 — Yet in this body there is another, a transcendental enjoyer, who is the Lord, the supreme proprietor, who exists as the overseer and permitter, and who is known as the Supersoul.
Bg 13.24 — One who understands this philosophy concerning material nature, the living entity and the interaction of the modes of nature is sure to attain liberation. He will not take birth here again, regardless of his present position.

For every man there is a bonafide or a noble reason for his or her birth.Without that no body comes from the mother's womb. But he or she has to realise that at some point of time.Otherwise there is no use for birth. If just simply eating, sleeping, doing other things with out any special purpose there is no real meaning for a life and the birth is not necessary to do all the above things. The animals can do the same and there may not be any change between a beast and a man.

Good question. This is a question only unhappy and philosophical people ask. This question has been asked since the beginning of time. No one knows, for sure. We can only guess. When you start asking questions like this, it's a time for soul-searching. You can get a million answers but until you search for the answer yourself, you'll never be satisfied. There will always be that empty hole inside you, like something's missing. This tells you there is more to life than what we see or take for granted. There are many religions or disciplines people may advise you to follow, but the one thing you really need is Truth. People will lie to you and you can lie to yourself, but if you really want the truth, search for it and never settle for any thing less. That means reading, researching, and asking. First thing I'd ask is "God, are you real?" and keep asking until you get an answer. If you ask long enough, one day you will ask with sincerity, and that's when you will get an answer. If you've done your homework, reading the bible, and every other source to compare, never settle for one source, you will be more prepared when you do get an answer. It's called 'growing'. Some people never grow. Some never question, they simply believe what they are told. It's easier that way. But searching for Truth requires honesty, sincerity, desire. How much do you really want it? What will you settle for? Most people will settle for the company of others, join a church, find a religion or discipline. Truth requires more. Truth starts with you. That's where your heart comes in, what you desire. There's safety in numbers and if feels comfortable to 'belong' but will you find truth listening to everyone around you if they're not looking for it? My favorite quote and one I've found to be true is: "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,Than are dreamt of in your philosophy."

Because we are born. If something is you can't argue that it isn't. There is no need for reason for existence. Also injustice breeds justice. Where something is wrong you make it right. If there is garbage are you able to turn it into gold? I don't think so. Some cannot help their situation. The ones that get the lousy end of deal they might not have the power to turn it around.
You're only able to work with what you have!

that's why gets me with so many people. They don't ever really think about that. Plane and simple; Because we are. Every time I see crap about the BIG BANG theory I have to laugh because scientist will have u believe that this bang created life. Well what the heck was before that. So bottom line is We are because there are things bigger then us and we are here. I do have a hard time believing 2 rocks got together and had a chicken.

As people we have the choice to change living conditions, yes there are a lot of injustice but those things can change. To be honest we are kinda immortal, people die but those who had children pass on their genes so in a way half of you will continue to live.

The truth is we cant predict why we are born. As you know when a person take birth he comes empty hand in this world. He just have fate with him/ her. You may had took birth in a rich/ poor place. According to mythology god also took birth and the purpose of there birth was to maintain peace in this world and to punish the wrong and devils. And to teach the world a lesson that good things always win on bad things. So one who created us, wants us to do the same. Lord/God wants us to fight against devils/ dishonesty/wrong things and to maintain the peace and happiness in this beautiful world

According to Eastern faith, which I subscribe to, we are not born. The cycle of birth and rebirth (samsara in Sanskrit) is only a karmic journey in the realm of material form and content. When we have completely resolve our earthly karma we are no longer subject to the cycle, and have the option to choose reincarnation or not. Going back to the story of Adam and Eve eating from the Tree of Knowledge in the garden of Eden, which I take metaphorically, humans are spiritual beings whose curiosity about the material world and knowledge consequentially lead to a earthly mortal existence.
This resulted in the karmic inheritance of the human ego/mind which easily accepts whatever programming input into it, thus humans are inherently naïve and ignorant. Both Jesus and the Buddha taught that 'ignorance' is another word for 'sin', which is only a distortion or violation of 'Truth.' The ego falsely identifies with, is conditioned by, and attached to the material world of form and content. The seeking of material knowledge and worldly pleasure perpetuates ignorance and the cycle of birth and rebirth, as ignorance creates more karma to be undone. Knowledge only begets more knowledge to find out about, and seeking desires always results in brief periods of satisfaction until sadness ensues.
This is why in the East the ancient teaching of Spiritual Transcendental Awareness (a.k.a. Nirvana/Enlightenment) is offered as a way out.

You're asking a very reasonable question.
We're born to discover true meaning of life and realize it.
Meaning of life question is a subject of science of Kabbalah. In below short film kabbalist of our time Michael Laitman explains it. All the best!
What Is The Meaning Of Life?

My belief in something greater, or even crossing the line into my claiming subjective experience proving it which objectively proves nothing to others than my possible delusional state, still, my "acceptance" of there being more to life than this existence, in no way reduces the pain I suffered, the losses, nightmares... or the "good fortunes", the awe and wonder all around, throw in science which scratches the surface of our reality to reveal even more breathtaking wonders... Life to me is a full spectrum spanning from horror to amazement. One thing I learned, okay I learned quite a lot, like tying my shoelaces and semi-mastering English as my non-native language, and so forth, but, the point I'm actually getting to is - life can be beautiful amidst many circumstances. If life is viewed as an ordeal, it shall be suffered as an ordeal though living in bliss. If it is viewed as beautiful, specifically involving gratitude for the many wonderful things in daily life, it becomes beautiful even amidst hovering around the poverty line (especially in the western world). And those born into worse situation, while I have the means within my abilities, I help, via charities and such. I cannot change the world, I can change mine, and within my means, help others - multiply it by tens of millions of others, or hundreds of millions if most westerners would contribute, and life could be improved for many, instead of wasting the money on a fancy $20 morning latte we could make at home for 50 cents. Anyway, why are we born to suffer when the path of least resistance would be to go from non-existence to non-existence via not having existed at all? Aha, that's the mystery encoded into the matrix of our reality right before eruption of space-time - we exist by imperative, our reality is life-conducive, was right from its beginning. And there are clues of more life after this one, but they could be argued and are unpleasant to contemplate, I mean, the third category of NDE (the transcendental) baffles doctors, yet has been recorded and confirmed as real phenomena, neither explainable through psychology or biology. Evidently there is a reason for life, and, how we approach life determines on how we comment on it. There was a time in recent history when life was difficult, average male lifespan was 40+, days involved sweating sweat and blood to till the fields to put food on the table, often a baked potato and perhaps corn, yet so many were grateful for such life. Today most of us westerners have greater convenience, lighter work load, more to show for it, amazing technologies to play with - and yet "we" grumble how horrible life is. And those who went through WWII, suffered many losses, emerged triumphant once the hell on Earth ended; and here we are again, enjoying relative peace and so fearful of our own shadow...
I don't know why we are born, I know it is cosmic imperative for sentient sapient life to be here; I suspect more to come when this "rollercoaster ride" ends. In the meantime, trying not to fail to notice the forest for the trees, I just live another day, if another day is granted me to experience. I suspect I may have plenty of time in eternity to ponder the purpose of this weird detour through Earthly existence :)

It is nature's way of allowing all species exist; in our case 'humans'. We are born also because the womb cannot the baby for more than ten months.
