In a marriage, do you believe that sex 3 times a week is an acceptable amount?

I don't think there is an "acceptable amount" it depends on the relationship, for some people once a week is great (maybe not get to see each other much, etc) and for others four or five times a week is more their speed. I think as long as you are continuing to work towards a loving and sexual relationship, it's in a good place.

My ex wife was stingy about sex. It turned out she was giving it to her boy toys, and I wasn't getting very much. She was pretty awful. After she moved out, I had girl friends. Usually three or four at one time. Any day I didn't have sex three times, I thought I was celibate. Kept this up for nearly ten years. Met my late wife of 27 years. She expected sex at least once a day. More was OK too. 3 times a week would not make this 76 year old very happy.

Yes I believe so and there are other things in a marriage besides sex, so do what you want to do, as many times a week as you see fit, and let it be.. As long as you both are satisfied with that go for it. You will be fine, and you will survive -in your marriage. Good Luck

IF it is suitable to both parties, then yes. Someone with a very low sex drive may find it to be too much. Someone with a very high drive may find it to be too little. It's not going to be "acceptable" to everyone or all the time.

I do. But I know many who don't. And in my younger years.. three times a day seemed more acceptable.

I should clarify..... If one partner wants it 5 days a week and the other wants it once a week, Is 3 a comprimise that both should be happy with?

I get that much in A YEAR for less than a minute each time (includes foreplay).
