Would guys consider dating a girl after getting asked out?

I want to ask out this guy but I'm pretty sure he's not super interested in me. Still, would he consider dating me even though he had never realized that I'd be an option in the past, or am I just being too hopeful?

Guys, do you say yes to girls that you haven't considered until she approached you, or is that a rare occasion? Thanks a bunch.

    There was this girl who confessed to me once. I replied with a yes for the fact that she confessed to me even though i didn't see her as an option before. So to answer your question yes it does boost your chances but, depends on the guy.
