How to help my indoor cat to hunt?
My indoor cat is just over a year old(she's also quite a small cat) she doesn't really have any interest in going out and we decided we don't really want her too.
When I watch her play and I play with her too, I notice her skills such as jumping, balancing and moving quickly aren't as quick witted as my old cat I had (she loved going outdoors) I mean even sometimes I have to pick her up to help catch a daddy long legs.
What I want to know is how can I help her improve her skills? Do I just carry on playing these hunting games with her? I know she's an indoor cat, but she might decide to dart out the door one day and I don't want her to be completely useless? Is it even possible for me to even help try improve her. Not even sure if this is a silly question. Could I involve feeding her into a hunting game?

Honestly all my cats love to practice hunting. All I can say and think of is to get her ingaged in games that are similar to hunting like ribbons and stuff like that. But take it one step at a time. Like for starters use a ribbon than keeping going up and use featered toys also u could put catnip or something like that on the toy and use stuff that would look like wats out there like mice, birds ect.

I believe that it is a cats natural instinct. I am going through this as well. I have a kitten who acts like this. Hope this helps!
