Do you think it's safe to monetize my youtube videos?

So I know that you can't monetize videos that aren't 100% original. I upload footage from conventions, and a small few of my videos have copyrighted music playing in the background that was somehow detected. Is it still a good idea to enable monetization? Can I just turn it off for those videos individually?

It's not a good idea to have monetization on for those videos.

You can turn on/off monetization/ads for each upload by using your Channel Video Manager and then click the "Edit" or "$" button next to your video.

    Good Luck!

You can choose your monetization individually, you can select which videos you want to monetize, also any content that has copyrighted stuff will automatically be disabled for monetization :)
