Client has a new HP Pavilion 20-f323 All in One PC with Windows 8.1 and he wants Windows 7 Pro installed instead. Questions.

(1) How do I even get this unit to boot from it's built in DVD? I tried F2, ESC and F12, no options to boot from DVD.

(2) Please list steps, including any software, to downgrade this unit.

Hi. Im building a system and a bit confused of what wire to plug to my ATX12V 4 pin connector.

My Rosewill 630watt power supply (model RG630-S12) has a single wire with 2 plugs. One plug says 4+ and the other plug says 4P. Only one plug connector, so which plug do I use?

The motherboard is a Asus M4A785-M. The board powers up, and works with either the 4+ or 4P plug, but does it matter?

I have Vista Ultimate 64-bit running on my laptop and received a coupon for Windows 7.

Once I receive Windows 7, will it require and look for a full existing installed copy of my Vista Ultimate or XP, or just ask me to insert any Vista or XP CD, then remove that and continue with the Windows 7 install? Similar to the Win98 to XP installs.

I'm just curious as I actually like my Vista Ultimate and I thought to maybe use my Windows 7 CD onto another computer.

Especially if all I need to do is show/insert any existing XP CD then remove that and continue with the Windows 7 install.

Not long ago CNN had a short segment about how it's smart to write your driver's license number all over your laptop. I was wondering if that was such a smart thing to do these days with so much identify theft.

I'm aware of the many various security devices, stickers and retrieval software for laptops if they're stolen, but I'm curious if any of you write your driver's license number on your laptop?

If you do, is there any special type of marking pen you recommend?

I thought to use again either ArmorTag or YouGetItBack sticker services. That seems safer than telling a thieve your driver's license number.

One of my favorite movies directed by Michael Bay, THE ISLAND, with Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson, has a large cement facility, maybe a mall, that is the compound where all the clones live.

Does anyone know the details of that facility like where it is and what it is? Also, does anyone know what part of the desert it was filmed in?

Kate often mentions this inspirational music CD that she listened to time and time again while in the hospital for 2.5 months. Plus, she gives away a copy to many of the children in the episode visit to St. Jude's Hospital.

I searched the TLC.com and sixgosselins.com website but could not find the CD Kate often refers to.

I have a security camera that uses a VGA cable and I want to connect it a VGA PC monitor plug.

Is there such a cable, or VGA box, that allows for RCA video > VGA PC Monitor or converts the signal?

I've been using Norton System works for many years now and it has done a decent job at protecting many of my computes. I also use Zone Alarm Pro for my software firewall. That's a great product also.

However, recently Norton System Works has been giving me errors saying my Zone Alarm Pro is not working. But, Zone Alarm is working fine. I've contact Symantec's support and I'm not happy with their solutions. Norton gives me these big red alert boxes and X's that are always displayed if it 'seemingly' finds a problem with other software it monitors.

I'm getting a bit fed-up with Norton. It's a resource hog, red errors always being displayed, very poor technical support too, unless I pay for it. On the other hand, Zone Alarm Security Suite now includes anti-virus protection, plus a great firewall.

Should I dump Norton? Zone Alarm Internet Suite also allows you to use their program on up to 3 separate computers! I hate to leave Norton, but maybe it's time to.

In the movie LOST IN TRANSLATION written and directed by Sofia Coppola, does anyone know those words Bill Murray whispered into Scarlett Johansson's ear at the very end of the movie before he goes back to the taxi and leaves Japan?
