Help with German language, please?

"I am German"

"Ich bin Deutsch"

As I understand it, that's the spelling when the speaker is male.

How does the spelling of "Deutsch" change when the speaker is female?

(I'm using an audio course, and can't hear the difference.)

Thank you.

No, "Ich bin Deutsch." would be neutral. ;)

When it changes from male to female, you just remove the "r" on "Deutscher" and add an "e" to "ein".

A male person would say "Ich bin ein Deutscher."

A female person would say "Ich bin eine Deutsche."

Colin - Let's make it more manageable.

"I understand that a fred is 1 followed by 3 zeros. What I don't understand is a fredplex which is 1 followed by a fred of zeros.? "

    A fred is 1000.

    A fredplex is 100000...etc with a 1000 zeros.

    Does that help?
