Crank bolt is being a PITA?

I do not recommend the starter bump method - it is not very controllable and if my method does not work the starter bump will cause horrific damage. Once you get the flywheel or flex plate jammed, put a floor jack under the ratchet handle and use the jack against the car's weight to loosen it. If the front wheels come off the ground you know only an air impact (I use a 600 ft-lb dual hammer impact) will do the job.

Put a box-end wrench around it, use a long handle as an extension to the wrench, have two people team up on it: one person exert the turning force on the bolt while the other person is striking directly down on the bolt head with a hammer to break thread friction.

Do NOT use hammer type force to remove the crank bolt. Use slow, deliberate force only. Sudden trauma to the bolt may cause it to break. And you don't want that now, do you?

Put an extension on your crack handle, and have the flywheel blocked so the crank don't turn, and you will get that bolt out.

your going to need an air compressor and use one of those heavy duty air impact gun. preferablliy 400+ ft. lb. You can try using a pulley chain to hold the the crank pully in place, and use a racket with a long breaker bar. but you will risk cracking or chipping the pulley. which will is bad for the belt. using the air impact gun is the best way to take that bolt off.

bumping the starter may not do more than harm. find a way to hold the flywheel/flex plate in position and then use a ratchet and if you can find one, a longer steel pipe around the handle of that. it does wonders to increase the torque applied.
