No, that's not homophobic. It's just ignorant (lacking knowledge) about what virginity means. Virginity refers to much more than just heterosexual vaginal intercourse. Now granted, a lot of people will use it with that meaning so they can engage in oral sex and anal intercourse without feeling guilty about losing their virginity, but in all reality they're just fooling themselves.

Virginity is nothing more than a state of being, the state of never yet having done something. In this case, it's the state of never yet having engaged in some sort of sexual activity. Every sexual activity and every combination of circumstances (who's involved and how many, the respective genders, who's giving and receiving, what's done, etc.) has its own virginity. There's vaginal intercourse virginity, which is most often applied to the word. But there's also heterosexual oral sex virginity for both giving and receiving, homosexual oral sex virginity for both giving and receiving, anal intercourse virginity for both giving and receiving (whether the receiver is male or female), dildo use virginity, mutual masturbation virginity, semen swallowing virginity, and so on.

So the answer to the question from that class is that those who have engaged in oral sex are no longer oral sex virgins, and those who have engaged in anal sex are no longer anal sex virgins. If those individuals have never had heterosexual vaginal intercourse then they are still virgins for that particular activity. But as far as overall virginity goes, someone who's done everything but vaginal intercourse is in no way a virgin.

Thats not homophobic at all. Maybe it could come across as ignorant because people could take it as mocking (which it certainly isn't) but you're not saying anything bad about gays so its not homophobic

Not homophobic but misguided. Also differs with definition of virginity. Being bi, I thought of it as two different virginities. Gay vCard lost at 17 and straight vCard lost at 20.

The way I see it is unless penis and virginal intercourse has happened then the person is a virgin. In any case what is wrong with being a virgin? It means pure. That person should be flattered. Better than being a whore.

The funny thing about this is a girl at my school said she had anal sex with 28 men but she's still virginal because anal sex doesn't count.

Let's look at the word. ANAL SEX. ANAL SEXUAL INTERCOURSE. ANAL INTERCOURSE THAT CONSTITUTES PENETRATION OF A SEXUAL NATURE USING SEXUAL ORGANS. Your anus counts as a sexual organ.

Oral sex is also considered an alternative form of sex. Gay sex is losing your virginity. Most gay men/women have no interest in sex with the opposite gender so technically, they have lost their virginity.

if people ask me if I'm a virgin I say no, I've had plenty of sex with my girlfriend.
