Frustration with forgetting things?
To make a long story short, whenever I forget what I was going to say to someone (whether it be important or unimportant) it drives me to the point of mental frustration where I will constantly obsess over what I forgot. I will be trying to remember what I was going to say 24/7, and I literally mean 24/7. This has been tormenting mentally for a while now, and I was wondering if anyone else has a similar problem and knows how to cope? Thanks!
1 AnswerPsychology4 years agoIs it possible to replace a broken lugnut stude without removing the rotors?
I have 1996 Honda Accord (one of the most poorly desgined cars ever). I say this because it has captive rotors which are pain in the *** to remove. So I wanted to ask if it would be possible to replace my broken lugnut stud without having to go through the hassle of removing a captive rotor? Thanks!

4 AnswersPolitics6 years agoHelp, I need to lose weight but I have one problem.?

I can't stop eating it, it just tastes so ******* good. So my question is, do you have any advice on how to stop eating crap that I don't need and is making me fat. My weight has caused me to miss out on so many summers and it really makes me depressed. Thanks for listening.
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness6 years agoWas I showing off?
So I was playing super smash bros with a group of friends and I was the only the one winning matches, so I brought attention to that (not in a cocky way, but a curious way) and said "has anyone else won any matches", and my friend who's a complete moron (which is a little unfair to say cause he has ADD) says in an annoyed voice, "why are you showing off"? The other kids in the group were a little dumbfounded and asked my friend "how is he(me) showing off"? And then we just continued playing. So my question is, was calling attention to me winning(at a video game) "showing off"?
2 AnswersFriends6 years agoIs this a part of ADD?
Ok so I've come to accept my friend for who is, he has ADD and sometimes has trouble paying attention, but sometimes it can be a little tedious. So a few days ago we had both been talking about video games, no big deal, and I brought up with my friend how my dad thinks "videos games will destroy me mentally and spiritually" and then I said to my friend sarcastically and jokingly "oh please, public school has destroyed me mentally and spiritually" and then my friend not picking up on the sarcasm, says seriously "yea I know, if you're in school and you try to pray or read a bible they're gonna give you dirty looks". I wanted to punch him in the face to knock some sense into his brain. Not once did I mention religion or praying, I was simply telling a sarcastic joke in light of another event. However in the past my friend hasn't been able to pick up on sarcasm or anything like that, and I wonder if it's because of his ADD?
1 AnswerFriends6 years agoWould Caitlyn Jenner still be considered a guy by rules of biology?
Now I'm aware that her name is Caitlyn because she legally changed that and you can't call her Bruce. But wouldn't she still technically be a guy, I mean if I right now cut off my genitalia and got breast implants, would that automatically make me a woman? I'm quite aware of the mental struggle that she had been experiencing before making the change. I understand that this question may come off as transphobic so I expect some backlash, but in all seriousness, I'm just curious to what the answer is to my question.
17 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender6 years agoMy friend has really poor social skills.?
We've been really good friends since freshmen year. Coming into highschool we were both socially awkward and that's pretty much why we became friends. Four years later we're still great friends, but the difference is my social skills improved while his didn't really change that much. He did become less shy which is a start. But when in a real social situation he doesn't have good judgement. A few examples. Whenever he talks to people he rambles on and on about one subject only and he's never open to change the topic. Another time he going on about how healthy he is because he never eats junk food, while we were at a party. One more is he is obnoxiously loud and annoying, and makes jokes that sound like they would come from a mentally retarded person. I don't know if his ADD contributes to any of the above, but I'm nervous for him because he's starting college along with me and I just don't know how he'll do.
1 AnswerFriends6 years agoIs this homophobic?
In sex ed we were talking about, you guessed it sex. This brought up virginty. And at some point the question was asked, are homosexuals Virgins. I said "yes" and right off the bat got a lot of hate. I've never hated gays nor said anything bad about them ever, I just think they're virgins because I don't count anal and oral sex as real sex. I don't think it's homophobic so I think it's a little unfair that my classmates are calling me that.
8 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender6 years agoWhy get married at all if you don't plan on having children?
What's the point of marrying your significant other if you're not going to have kids. The point of marriage is to create a stable environment for children so they can be raised and help society move forward. So if you don't plan on having kids, why get married at all. No ones going to stop you from living with each other. And also you're likely to get divorced nowadays and that can lead to some costly lawsuits. So I'm just curious, cause I don't plan on having kids and I don't plan on getting married.
9 AnswersMarriage & Divorce6 years agoMy Mom is frustrating me?
ok so I'm 17 male, and I've always wanted to bu my GTA V, and I can, I have my own money, but my mom doesn't want it in the house, I have 5 younger siblings, and I've promised her that I won't play it around them, but all she says is she doesn't want it around. She's fine with me playing video games like that, but she won't tell me why I can't get it, I'm guessing it's because of my siblings. I've kept promising that I'll keep it away from them, they're hardly ever around me anyways. I'm just annoyed cause I've always been an angel child, I don't drink, smoke, have sex, and do drugs. I'm mature, I don't freakout, I get straight A's in school, and got a college scholarship, but yet she doesn't trust me to with one video game?
1 AnswerFamily6 years agoWhy do gays hate it when people call homosexuality a lifestyle?
We were discussing homosexuality in my history class because we were talking about Harvey Milk, and we were all asked our opinions on it. And I said "I'm fine with the lifestyle". After that I was given angry looks and then told by some angry classmates (one of which was gay) "it's not a lifestyle". My parents also told me that people don't like it when homosexuality is described as a lifestyle. Is it because a lifestyle is a choice and being gay is not. I just want to know cause I don't think I said anything wrong?
12 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender6 years agoPeople are pissing me off?
ok so some background:
I'm male 17 years old and my best friend is 16 and he's gay. We've been best buddies since 3rd grade and he came out this year and my opion didn't change about him one bit. Here's what's going on though I've been a devout catholic my whole life, I've gone to church every Sunday, pray every now and then and all the hooblah. Now my friend on the other hand has been atheist his whole life. Neither of us have been bothered by each other's beliefs. However since he came out, our families and some other "friends" have told us that our friendship can't workout just because the church does not support gay marriage. I've never really been for or against gay marriage, so I don't care if my friend gets married or not. But I'm pissed off that people say that we can't be friends, he's been there for me in tough times, when I broke my arm when I was 10 he called me everyday to make sure that I was ok. When he came out of the closet I was there for him because I know some of the horrible things that people do and say to gay people. He's one of the greatest guys I know and we've never disliked each other. But now all of a sudden people claim "it won't work out", what should I do?
3 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender6 years agoOk people think I'm a homophobe, hear me out.?
Ok so your probably thinking, "Oh he's definitely a homophobe if he has to defend himself like this" but please hear me out. Ok so I'm my English class the topic of homosexuality came up, I have no clue how. So anyway we were asked what our opinions about it were. Everyone was pretty chill and relaxed and then I said something which has now turned everyone against me. I said "It's abnormal what they do, but I have no problem with it". This made so many people turn against me. When I said abnormal, I meant deviating from the norm, which homosexuals do, because the norm is being attracted to the opposite sex. However I did not realize that abnormal had a negative connotation to it, and I meant no harm. I've never personally met a gay person but they seem like nice people, the only difference is they have a physical and emotional attraction to the same sex. Also what I have going against me is that my family and I are catholic and some people assume that we are gay hating homophobes. Actually it's the exact opposite, none of us have held any animosity towards gay people, but people use my religion as leverage against me, because sadly there is a certain group of Christians and Catholics who despise gays, but I am not one them.
Anyway I'm trying to convince people that I'm not homophobic because some are so damn sure that I am. My whole life I've prided myself on being nice to people and being a kind human being. And this one silly comment I made is ruining that.

3 AnswersBooks & Authors6 years agoIs it normal for someone with ADD to be rude and then say they weren't rude?
Ok, so me and my friend Ben ( he has ADD) were shopping at Wegmans the other day. We only bought a few items, some drinks and trail mix. As the cashier was ringing up our items, some old man put his items on the belt, and the cashier asked if those items were ours. One of the old mans items was a carton of milk. Now Ben, he drinks almond milk and not regular milk. So Ben then says sarcastically "Yuck, Milk, who drinks that, now almond milk, that's the way to go". Now he did say it sarcastically, but it sounded really rude and the old man looked upset afterwards. When we were in the parking lot I told him "hey that was a little rude back there", then he went ballistic and said "I WAS JOKING, IT'S NOT LIKE I CALLED HIM AN ASSHOLE OR ANYTHING". This is really frustrating because he makes rude comments all the time without even realizing it. He also complains that his teacher is too hard on him and gives him too much work, when in reality, it only takes about 15 minutes to do the work.

1 AnswerCleaning & Laundry6 years agoMy friend confuses me?
ok so we're both 18 and seniors in highschool. now my friend he has ADD, and has trouble paying attention sometimes, and he as all the other symptoms of it like different behaviors and acting on impulse, but he's a pretty bright guy. He's great at remembering sports facts and history, and video games and a lot of other things. But the other day he bombed a really easy English quiz. All we had to do was match up 15 literary terms with their definitions. So here's what I don't get, how is he so good at memorizing so many things, but yet can't pass a simple English quiz. Does it have to do with the ADD, he wants to know as well, cause he's really upset about failing.
2 AnswersOther - Education6 years agoI'm nervous about my friend?
We're both seniors in high school and were both in the same English class. English IV. But for the past three years he's been in LLD English because he has ADD, and so far he's not doing to well. He failed the first quiz and barely passed the second, and we've got a huge test tomorrow on our unit we've been studying. He has trouble paying attention and gets really mad when he doesn't do well. I'm nervous cause this is his first time in a regular class and I really want him to pass. Any suggestions?
