Help, I need to lose weight but I have one problem.?
so I'm 17 Male, and 300 lbs, I know FML right? Anyways I've started running no problem, for me exercise is the easy part. My big problem is that I ******* love soda and other junk food. I can't stop eating it, it just tastes so ******* good. So my question is, do you have any advice on how to stop eating crap that I don't need and is making me fat. My weight has caused me to miss out on so many summers and it really makes me depressed. Thanks for listening.

It's all down to willpower really, with soda you could try a diet variety, something like pepsi max as a replacement because although it's not ideal there are 8 calories in a whole 2 litre bottle of that stuff, I lost and am maintaining weight and I still drink it.
Even in weight loss you can still have some junk food, you just need to fit it into your calorie allowance and of course it's better not to have it too often because it's so unhealthy and loaded with fat and sodium.
I think the key is to get started, once you see a difference you do start to resent the foods that you know will harm your progress,it doesn't mean you will never want them but it gets to the point where you have lost a few pounds and know if you go back to your old ways you will gain again so it's a bit of an incentive not to.
I didn't ban a single thing from my diet but I soon realized that I got a lot more food in my daily allowance if it was healthy food so I eat junk but just not as often now.
You do have to understand that only you can do this, you can make changes and you can seek encouragement of course but ultimately if you want next summer to be better then you have to be strong and change your lifestyle and it is not easy, I lost 8 summers from being obese and I can't tell you how great it is now to look good and feel so much better too but it took me saying 'no' to too much junk many, many times.
You know you don't need it but of course you want it,now ask yourself what you want more,to lose weight and be able to eat a little junk now and then or to lose another summer and gain more weight so that you can carry on eating that stuff as much as you please?
You already know the answer and now you have to make that choice, you want next summer to be better so now you make a decision and a choice to clean up your eating habits.

Well bro ,i have been were u are at right now, ive been overweight most of my life, i weighed 195 in my 9th grade in highschool. I also ******* loved junk food, and couldnt stop eating it. What i did to overcome my habit, is just dont have ANY JUNK FOOD at home and at the store instead of buying chips or candy, why not go for the healthy stuff?( salads, fruits, vegetables, etc) also if you really want to lose weight, run or walk in the mornings and try to join an activity, such as football or soccer idk but as long as it involves physical activity.Dont forget NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE to acomplish as long as you work hard. Remember hard work pays off. P.s avoid processed and fast foods at restaurants. Dont let your habit of eating junk beat you. Its all about the decision u make of either the chips or the vegetable. Ignore people who tell you its impossible or you cant do it because they are wrong.

my uncle lost a lot of weight by switching to diet drinks, but those aren't great for you either. (though diet Mt. Dew tastes almost like regular Mt. Dew) I guess I would say just fill your fridge with only healthy stuff. If there's no crap to eat, how will you eat crap? good luck! Will power!
Source(s): idk if this counts as a source, but I lost 20 lbs in 1 month by cutting out red meat, 80% of my carb intake, cheese, sweets, junk food, soda, etc, and replacing 1 meal a day with a fresh squeezed or blended juice of fruits and veggies. ...So basically I'm an expert.
