Why do dad's treat their daughters different from their son's?
I feel like my brother gets way more freedom then I do! My brother can basically do whatever he wants. Last night my dad was furious with me because I came in at 11:00 when my curfew is 10:00. My brother is 18 now but when he was 17 he would come home at 2 or 3 o'clock in the mourning and nothing was said. He gets away with everything, He can bring different girls home but my guy friend can't even come sit in the living room. He got his first tattoo at 17 but I can't get one because I'm to young, that makes no since! My stupid brother thinks the whole situation is funny and kinda throws in my face that when he was 17 he could do whatever he wanted.
My dad and I just got into an argument about it and he took my car keys! I'm stuck at home while he's out living life. Why do dad's treat their daughters different even though we're more responsible

Dads are supposed to be protective of their daughters; their innocent, naive daughters where the world is trying to screw them over...
As a generalization, a father is protective because he doesn't want her heart broken, or being used.
My dad, on the other hand, is like a friend. I always joke that if I was engaged, my dad would crack open a beer with my fiance, and talk about women.....
My dad is on the other end of the spectrum of protective. Hence, probably why I have a lot of guards up, because I am basically my only hero...
It's annoying when you're a kid, and you wanna' go out with your friends (we've all been there). But when I was younger, I always wanted my dad to be defensive of my life, and surveying my every move. We always want what we can't have, but a protective father is not the worst thing in the world.
Even though you are mature and capable of making your own choices, your dad probably still sees you as his little, baby girl.

"Why do dad's treat their daughters different even though we're more responsible" Don't make generalizations. Not all daughters are more responsible than the sons and not all fathers give more privileges to their son.
Getting that out the way clearly do not use the double standard argument with your father. Just suck it up and once your 18 you can leave and do your own thing without your father's unfairness.

not all dads are like that but yours is just trying to protect you. also if you're the youngest one that makes sense cause he doesnt want to see his 'baby' growing up
