English for a broader safety net in case I suck. Creative writing because it is what really interests me.

No stick to business. English won't help you be a writer and you need a serious degree to get a day job while you work toward publication

There aren't any courses that will get you a job as a writer. So continue with the business so that you can get a job and keep the writing as a hobby that you hope will become a job when you have had enough practice at it.
