I got injured on the job during my probationary period?

I started working at my new job in late may. My probationary period at work is 90 days long and about 2-3 weeks ago, I got severe 2nd degree burns from my wrist to elbow.

Workers comp covered my medical bills and medications but I missed several days of work.

Besides this one incident, I've done wonderful at my job, my coworkers and management love me.

Can the hr dept. fire me because of this accident? And am I entitled to sick leave for the days I missed because of the burn? (Even though you don't have sick leave within that time frame.

The doctor gave me a note for the days off because I had to take pain killers every 6 hours and I wasn't suppost to drive while taking them.

Oh, and I live in fl.

They can fire you. No, you are not entitled to sick leave unless you were otherwise entitled to it.
