I have tried break-away collars on my cats but they are lost within hours after I put them on.?

Update:

Also, the information about the rabies vaccines is on the tags from the vets office so don't want to loose that.

My cat mastered the art of pulling them off! My lovely Lucy learnt how to put her jaw underneath and pull until it gives way. My other just doesn't care and leaves it be.

Good! That means they're WORKING. If they didn't come off your cat would have been STRANGLED TO DEATH!

Keep your cats indoors where they belong and microchip them so they have ID in case they get out.

This means that they are working. If your cats go outside regularly, then you should keep them in to prevent them loosing their collars.
