Dealing with no energy and a toddler?

I'm currently 29 weeks with #2 and have just about enough energy to schlep myself from the bedroom to the couch.

Blood tests don't show anything wrong, but 9 days out of 10, I don't have enough energy to really get involved with my 3-year-old. Add to that the fact that my asthma has gotten so bad with this pregnancy that I generally can't go outside without using my inhaler several times (am waiting on insurance to approve a new inhaler that will help me with this) and we're generally stuck inside all the time (daddy works until late).

I've been trying to work around this by having family come over, but they can't be here every day, and my poor child is nearly dead from sheer boredom (doesn't nap and we don't do TV all day).

What are some low-energy things we can do that don't require me to leave the house?

Just to add, we do read, but she prefers to read to herself (can't actually read, but it's the thought that counts).

boy that is really hard when you cant breathe. At 3 is she interested in Barbie dolls? Can get a little exspencive but dressing and undressing dolls doe not take much energy.

can you get puppets maybe from a library someone else can take her to. Get a cheap tape recorder ( do they even make them any more) books on tape for kids

you need to see your dr...sounds like you also need to eat better for better health

I would also check into head start for the child...have the dr write a health note stating you need full time care due to health...

when your child is in care...through head start early head start..you need to take care of you work on you...take some yoga classes...working on mental strength...
