How to convince my mom to let me move to Germany?
Hi guys. Basically when I'm out of high school, I wanna go to university in Germany and my mom doesn't support that at all. To be completely honest, I would like to live there for my life and see myself having kids and things of that nature there. I have family issues, my mom knows this, and she thinks I want to move to Europe to get away from all that. She said she would rather me go to an east coast school even though I know that is not the kind of environment that I want. I have my heart set on Europe but she won't allow it. Help please?

You will need s tudent visa and then an expetended visa to stay longer than three months - if you are an adult your mother cannot stop you but cannot expect her support either. if you want to act like an adult and make such choices you will have to make your own plans and pay for them yourself

What about going to an eastern school and then doing an exchange program, so you can at least see what it's like. If you really like it you could always transfer.

Try to convince her. Or just go (unless you need her financial support). Explain that this is YOUR life and not HERS, but try not to be aggressive about it.
