What coping strategies get you through the hard times?
I've been dealt a somewhat difficult hand in life and during the rough times, I would cope by focusing on the positive. I figure there's always some balance in the areas of your life. Your home life and school might suck, but maybe things are going great at work. Your health could be failing, but at least you have a great partner to lean on. Right now, I'm not doing well straight across the board. My strategy is failing and deep breathing exercises aren't cutting it. Help, please.

All the crap you are going through has to mean something towards an ultimate goal. Maybe you need to go back to school or take some online classes to better yourself. If you strategy ain't work, then maybe it is time to change it. Life sucks. You have been dealt and unfair hand and have a right to be angry. Stop with all the positive energy and accep that life isn't fair. Some people are lucky and have an easy life while others can do the exact same thing and struggle. What is causing your health to fail? Are you putting too much pressure on yourself? Is your partner supportive or is he making you more depressed? Do you have kids that are ungrateful and stressing you out? Do you have a boss that treats you like craft? Take a vacation. Put your partner or children in check? Get your home like in order because you should not have to go through the hell you face at work in your home. If you don't have peace in your own home, something is wrong. Exercise and eat right. Pray to God and read your Bible. You have to find that balance in your life and I don't know your exact situation to tell you exactly what to do. But do not lose your mental health over stress or a job. If you die, guess what. That job is still going to be there and your spouse will find someone else. So whatever is stressing you out, address that issue instead of keeping it bottled in in a respectable manner. It is your life and you have to start taking control of it.
