This is what I'm thinking about buying.

I'm new to linux but love it. Is there any reason this system won't work with a linux installation? Makululinux 7 xfce to be specific, but the newest Ubuntu is also an option. I'm good to go, right? Note: I plan to upgrade to a more powerful power supply.

I don't know of any problems with that hardware under Linux.

Quick search suggests these the components:

    AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5GHz, ASRock 970M Pro3 MOBO, Team Elite 8GB DDR3 1600 MEM, Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD, Musnkin ECO2 120GB SSD, EVGA 750 1GB Superclocked, Logisys Computer Red & Black ATX Case w/ 480W Power Supply

Expect it to run OK most linux product versions.

If you have problems loading up Linux, the most you should have to do is go into BIOS and:

    A. Disable UEFI / Enable "UEFI and Legacy BIOS"

    B. Disable SECURE BOOT ******IMPORTANT TO LOAD ANY LINUX DISTRIBUTION. IT MUST BE DISABLED OR YOU WILL NOT BE BOOTING LINUX.

    C. Set the Boot order to CD or USB for first time Linux installation

    D. * Disable "Boot to Windows" [if it exists]

    Edit: put disable ;D
