Why don't people who are Pro life care about orphans? Why don't all of them adopt children?

Even if abortion is wrong there is always a reason for it. Maybe the child will be born with a disability, or the girl is to poor to take care of it, or it would cause the death of the mother. No one has an abortion just for fun. With that in mind, I find it funny that a lot of these pro life people I know personally do not adopt children themselves. Some pro life politicians vote against funding for programs that help low income families and children. And a lot of women who end up not getting the abortion turn out to neglect, abuse, and even have their children starve due to low income. A lot of them are abandoned. I also find it hard to understand how adopting a child has become such a difficult process when there are a lot of children out there who are parentless and unloved. Why don't these people who filmed the planned parenhoood videos focus on these issues? Why don't they adopt children? Or even donate? Why do you address abortion and stop caring afterwards? If you do not care about the children who are already alive, without loving homes, and starving, how can you care about a fetus being born just so he can be neglected afterwards? I wish somebody would ask David Daleiden that question? What is your solution to this problem?

Well. The orphan issue is separate. In the US and the UK there are groups who actively will target people and create false reasons to take their kids because some kids are worth a lot on the open market.

Then the others, if they grow up orphans they get registered in some kind of system. It's messy and complex and this causes the bystandard effect.

Have you heard about the thousands of loving couples who desperately wish to adopt, but they can't because there are no babies to adopt?

Have you heard about how many have to basically get them from overseas and pay enormous fees?

These are couples who could adopt babies born right here in the USA, if they weren't aborted.

So much better to just kill a baby than let it live without parents who want it? What about vagrants, the mentally ill, those with disabilities, etc? What's the difference?

Your point is well taken. I have thoughts of the very same things you point out daily. If the far right conservatives are so strong on spouting how Christian they are then why all the unfed, uncared for people in the world. Jesus said he loved the down and out. Maybe they can have that discussion with him on judgment day. Just for clarification I am not discussing the scammers and lazy people abusing the social programs.

mainly because, in the grown-up world, people understand the boundaries between completely seperate issues..

...otherwise, do you find it funny that so many people who donate to Greenpeace don t ever volunteer to serve on the rainbow warrior or fly to Japan to protest whaling?

...is it so hard for you to understand how a person could be against the sale of drugs to neighborhood children, but not want to become a narcotics cop?

I have always found this liberal argument fascinating: Would a person choose the lottery of life or choose to never be born at all, to never existed in the world even for a second or have a chance to make it out of the poorest of the poor

Or Syrian refugees. I guess actual Muslim kids aren't life.

because its easier to say, sure, have all the kids you want. just don't do it anywhere around me. I agree with you, give all the pro-lifers all the kids they want others to have. they can raise them. but they won't.

If you are all about choice, and the freedom to exercise it, how come you think the government should provide welfare benefits for people who chose to be irresponsible?

It is easier to shout beliefs than to actually follow those beliefs.
