is owning 9 cats a lot.?

We have 9 cats. Our first cat, then a cat we found on the side of the highway, 2 adolescent male cats, and 5 kittens the highway cat had.

Yes it's a lot. Do a kindness for the cats and get them fixed before you have 100 cats and they will get put down by animal control.

    I'll put it this way,

    you deserve an award.

That's a lot of cats to handle,

and what you have done is admirable

Unless you have the money to be giving all shots and spay/neuter the cats/kittens you have its too many. The most important thing is spay/neuter. And the more cats you have, the higher the vet bills and illnesses that are passed between cats. You may want to work on downsizing your amount before you end up complaining you have sick cats and no money for vet bills.

That's a lot of cats. Some people would be hard pressed to look after and pay attention to that many, but since you say "we" and not "me", I figure you have at least one extra pair of hands to help out.

That is a lot of cats...going to be expensive and time consuming. The only good thing is that they have friends if you are gone. I think its critical to have lots of litter boxes, cleaned often.

If you've got a lot of space, then no. If you live in a small apartment or home, then try finding a few of them a new home.
