If the rules are not yours, the only question is how strictly the rule maker is enforcing his rules.

The christian god has begun by failing to be specific as to what the rules are, every christian has their own version and there is no authoritative place to look. Secondly, there is much talk of "forgiveness" based on belief rather than being based on a consistent and repeated effort to obey the rules.

That is why there are so many christians in the jails and that is why there are so many pedophile priests. Christianity supports the sinner.

It helps us improve ourselves. It's not just a belief. Miracles happen. How do you explain that? How do you tell a child or a cancer patient or someone suicidal that they have NO MEANING? That one day they're just going to die and never be alive again. That they have no soul and that they're just a shell with hormones and a brain. As Josh said in the movie God's Not Dead, (paraphrasing possibly), without God, you're life is the equivalent to that of a goldfish.

    Good luck and God Bless!!!

No bona fide belief system is ever external.

    Always from inside out.

The bible says "Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world."

    Perfectly answers your question.

In the case of believers (Christians) Jesus Christ rule and reigns in our hearts and that is why we do take responsibility for our actions.

Sure seems like it. They see themselves as players in some kind of divine drama, not as individuals with responsibility for their own actions.

Submitting to the authority of God greatly increases one's sense of responsibility. It is no longer "do whatever I feel like doing", but do what God has indicated I should do.

OF COURSE IT DOES! That's why christians have absolutely no True Compassion or True Values that they live every day!!

If to be christian is to model one's self after the mythical jesus creature in the New Testament, then -- that mythical jesus creature demands that his followers not hoard wealth and not amass worldly goods, but rather, get what you need and give your excess to poor and needy people who actually need help to survive. That is the life he allegedly lived, and the life of service and sacrifice he demands of his True Followers.

But today's christians are cowards, liars and frauds. NONE OF THEM live the life of a True Follower of the mythical jesus creature in the New Testament - none of them TRULY live by his Golden Rule teachings. They live lives of excuses and lies, always talking about WHY they CANNOT live their christian values every day. And they are too fraudulent to admit that greed and self-importance mean more to them that True christian values. Drive past any church parking lot during worship. Check out all the Mercedes, BMWs, Range Rovers, Cadillac SUVs, etc etc... The mythical jesus creature would have gotten what he needed -- maybe a decent Hyundai SUV or whatever; still comfortable and hugely reliable -- and he then would have given all the excess he had left over to people who need it to pay utility bills and feed their kids and buy them clothes. But not today's American christians. They are liars and cowards -- and they are frauds to their most basic christian values, and the MOST BASIC things their jesus-creature cared about most, and what he wanted most of his followers. They are TRAITORS to him and their values.

NOT ONE CHRISTIAN ANYWHERE actually lives their values every day. And this (the car example) is but one of MANY excesses that christians fraudulently live. They NEVER do anything that is a clear jesus-directive, if it makes their own lives inconvenient. They depend on their christian COWARD CLAUSE to get them out of any trouble -- they just ask for forgiveness later. It's the COWARD CLAUSE they always rely on, knowing they can get away with anything bad that they do, they just go to their "forgiveness" Coward Clause and, hey! Everything's just fine...

christianity is the biggest VALUES FRAUD cult belief on the planet.

Belief that is not internalized is not very meaningful for anything.
