Sicario was my favorite film this year. But Star Wars: The Force Awakens was among my favorites. I didn't enjoy many films in 2015. Mr. Holmes was another great one. The only films that I haven't seen that I want to are The Martian, Bridge of Spies, and Spectre.

Interstellar had some really cool aspects although devoid of deeper soul ideas (God). Same with the Martian.

I'm a Christian, so I liked a movie I could relate to called God's Not Dead.

Ex Machina made me think, but too creepy for my taste.

Star Wars was really great although it needed more story.

If they're liberal, yes, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens".

If they're conservative, certainly either "Body Heat" (co-produced by Star Wars filmmaker George Lucas) and "Kiss Me Deadly" (adapted from the Mickey Spillane classic novel of the same title)
