Can someone give tips on how to be prepared for an essay question in an exam?

The last two tests that I took for my biology class contained a few essay questions and I am not the best at those types of questions. I asked my teacher if there were going to be any essay questions on the next test and she told me that there were going to be essay questions on each test we take, so any tips on how to be prepared for the essay questions on the next test?

If it has to be a well developed short essay- just train yourself at home, choose a topic and start brainstorming, and just put you ideas together like in a regular essay. And the main thing- study the material, including specific details so you can expand your writing

Practice how are you gonna approach the question first. It's better to have a couple of ideas written down before you start.

    Hope this helps

Don't jump into writing. Take a couple minutes to rough out a plan.

Do the assignments right after they are assigned, instead of right before they are due. Test time becomes a non-event, since you are always perfectly prepared.
