What school should I go to? No admissions salespeople please!!!?

I am a student artist living in the New York metropolitan area in my Junior year of HS. There are a plethora of high end Art schools within commuting distance and I've made my presence known to many of them. I think at this point all I really have to do is submit some boss applications and keep doing me.

But which schools should I apply to? My truest dilemma.

Do you know what type of art you want to focus on yet? Would you rather go to a pure art school, or a strong art program within a broad university? Because NYC has some great pure art schools, but they also have some very strong art programs within unis like Hunter College, which are worth looking at.

Do you want to focus on NYC, or NYC metro? Are you a resident of NY State, or of NJ, or elsewhere?

Without knowing any of that, some schools you might consider: FIT, Parsons, NYU, Hunter College, Cooper Union, Pratt, Rutgers New Brunswick, Montclair State, SUNY Purchase, SUNY New Paltz, Queens College, SVA, Columbia U.
