Why does my cat hate everyone except for me?

She won't scratch or bite. She just hisses, growls, and acts fearful. She bluffs aggression but she isn't mean. She hates it when someone is even breathing the same air as her, but when it comes to me, she's an affectionate cat that absolutely loves me and cuddles me and is attached to my hip. But God forbid another person even looks at her, she gets pissy. She won't go within a few feet of anyone, unless they ignore her completely and then she'll tolerate being in the same room if she willingly chooses to do so. My husband is getting really irritated with her attitude and mean behavior towards everyone, especially him. If he makes any kind of move to pet her, she'll hiss and growl and throw daggers at him with her eyes. Then she'll watch him like a hawk with this look from hell. It's crazy. Is there any way to explain this? How can I help change her behavior?
