Religion is about entry to God's kingdom, when one dies. Why are they then bothered about evolution/creation?

Evolution vs Creation is not important as a core belief to Christianity, but if you give on this point, you must eventually realize that that means the bible doesn t say what it means, and then you eventually take that further and apply it to what the bible says about salvation. You start questioning how you are saved, and that can lead to some pretty bad stuff.

I think the reason that some Christians find evolution so frightening is that it negates the need for God.

While evolution leaves a lot of questions unanswered, a Creator is no longer necessary. Now, it is possible that a creator exists, as many of the founding father deists felt, that simply has nothing to do with its creation.

However, evolution being false could be very important because, unless one entertains the notion that humans come from other planets, then it more or less necessitates the need for a creator. It still doesn't guarantee that He hasn't left town, but in order to believe in God, one must at least establish that God exists.

Falsifying evolution makes the existence of a creator far more likely

Religion is about simple minds like you, afraid of death, and believing ancient superstitious nonsense (with no evidence) claiming you'll live forever.

Every living thing dies. Why can't you grow up and deal with that fact?

Just so long as you keep your conscience clean . But it is easiest if you obey all of Jesus' sayings . Jesus believed in the Creation story . So what .

Well, if evolution is true (and it is) then the creation story is wrong and taken together with everything else the Bible is completely wrong about, there is good reason to doubt that anything it claims is true, including "entry into God's kingdom" and God.

But there are many thousands of gods and many thousands of religions. They can't all be right but they can all be wrong and probably are. We get one chance at living and we should make the most of it - and that includes getting the best education possible.

It is NOT an insignificant issue. It goes to who God is.....the Creator and the Redeemer. Jesus said, "I tell you of earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you of heavenly things".

If you do not believe the Biblical God, then you have created a god of your own liking......that is called IDOLATRY.
