Why is my bedroom the only one in the house that has no power?
The power in my bedroom was working just fine before I left for the weekend to cat sit. When I came back though the lights would not turn on and the fan would not start. The plugs do not work either. What may have caused this and what can I do to fix it?

OK, OK, tagging along here. Start by looking for any "GFCI" wall socket, one that has two little buttons, one "test", the other "reset". Push "reset". No luck? If you don't know where the breakers are, find out. If you don't know which breaker controls your room, read the label on the back of the breaker panel door. Once found, snap it fully off, then on. (I'll skip fuses.) Now, who was there in your absence? This stuff doesn't usually "just happen".

go look in your electric panel and see if any of the circuit breakers have tripped off. they should all be marked. find the ones that go to your room and turn them all the way off and then on again.

Probably a tripped circuit breaker or in much older homes, a blown fuse.
