Which Pre-vet School Should I attend? Opinions please!?

I was accepted into Centenary University with a remaining balance of 8,000$

I was accepted into Delaware Valley University with a remaining balance of 18,600$

By remaining balance, I mean on top of financial aid (Including Federal Direct Sub and UnSub Loans)

I know it makes sense to go to the cheaper school, but if I choose Centenary then I will not automatically be put in as an animal science major, only Biology.

Since I already have my Associates in science, this may involve me retaking courses That I took at BCC. Which means, I will be at Centenary longer than Delaware Valley most likely any way.

Centenary doesn't offer animal science. They do offer equine studies, if your interests are primarily large animals/horses. Centenary only offers a limited number of majors.

Figure out how much longer you'll need to spend at Centenary. Also ask if the scholarships and grants they gave you will renew each year, and what the terms are to keep them. And for each school, actually calculate what you'll need to take out in loans each year to attend. Then see if having to stay X number of extra terms at Centenary will wipe out any savings. See if there actually *are* any savings at Centenary, when you look at the amount you'll need in loans for your years there. Make sure that Centenary is really cheaper, overall.

If, in the end, both schools will cost you roughly the same amount of debt to finish your degree, and you really prefer animal science, choose DVU. If Centenary ends up being massively cheaper in terms of the overall debt you'll take on for the entire degree, then go to Centenary. But make sure that Centenary really is cheaper.
