Can I sue someone for putting too much salad dressing on my salad?

No, what would be the point? just have them take it back and tell them you will put the salad dressing on it yourself. And make sure they don't charge for it either..When you make complaint like that they will give you the salad for free.

why couldn't you just scrape the excess off? why didn't you tell them up front, "only a little salad dressing" or ask for it on the side. suing will cost you $5000 and win you one free small salad without dressing
