What kind of person would think a person who doesn't believe ln gods, hates a god?

Well, Doctor, the general concept of a god, or gods, is of supernatural being/s who are to be worshipped and obeyed by those who believe.

Obviously, if a person does not believe any god or gods exist, they cannot hate such a non-existent 'thing'. But many of them can and do hate the concept of deity. That is why we read many vitriolic, or snide outpourings of hatred against the concept of a god, or gods, on this Religion & Spirituality site. Because those people know they cannot logically express hatred against any kind of deity, they turn their hatred on people who DO believe in deity. They attack those people and their ideas and religious practices. Just read some of the atheistic answers here!

However, just as some people on here try to hide behind anonymity but give themselves away in their comments, so atheists try to hide behind claims of not hating any god but give themselves away in their comments.

I think William Shakespeare's words could be applied, "Methinks [they] protest too much."

Someone cannot hate something they do not beleive exists!

BUT - Everyone can abhor the BAD followers who fail to understand that the problem is not anything to do with atheists, God, Jesus, the bible, or even Christianity and all to do with the intolerance, hatred, bigotry, homophobia and persecution posted by BAD Christians towards others!

ALL the other religions and atheists live in peace and are ONLY attacked by BAD Christians which causes all GOOD Christians to despair at the damage they do!

The self-destruction of Christianity is underway and the only thing that can stop it is to abandon the terrible human emotions, seek to rediscover the idea of a loving god and act like it!

BAD Christians not only drive people further away from God but are the reason so many DECENT people are becoming ANTI THEISTS!

Are you sure you are aware what the word "god" actually means? It seems not as anyone who says they do not believe in "gods" by dictionary definition either cannot be aware what that word fully means or worse still is totally irrational.

Do the research into the words meanings and next time use the word 'God' if that is really what you mean.
