I cut a vein on my foot and the bleeding hasn't stopped.?

I cut my foot vein last night went to the hospital because the bleeding just wouldn't stop. The lady who makes you fill out a form basically laughed in my face I got my vitals done and she didn't say it was going to be anything serious she made me go back into the waiting room after bandaging and butterfly taping it up. I left because the bleeding had stopped so the next day I woke up and took the gause off and applied peroxide and niasporin to the cut. As I was walking down stairs I realized my foot has started gushing again. I have never had a vein cut before and I'm super worried. I have work today and I just need to know what I should do about the cut in general or if I should be worried at all cause this could happen all of the time. Just not to me.

If it's bleeding again, the taping and bandaging didn't work. That means you need stitches or possibly surgery (which you would have gotten if you had stayed in the waiting room). You need to go back to the hospital. I doubt you can work, you'll lose too much blood if you have to be active at all. Better call your boss before you go to the hospital.

You need a pressure bandage. Fold a piece of gauze into a thick square and tape it securely over the cut. The pressure will keep it from bleeding.

It should have clotted already. If it opened up again this long after you cut it, you need to go back to the ER. They may have to sew up the vein itself. If you go to work, it will open up again.
