Hey everyone. I have had acid reflux/GERD due to a hiatal hernia for years. The hernia is fixed and now I can work on my "leaky gut syndrome." Everything I read says eat yogurt but when I have eaten it recently, I get an upset stomach and that acidic metallic taste in my mouth I get when I have reflux. It doesn't matter what the flavor and I have been careful about not eating yogurt with a lot of sugar. Monday I had plain with no sugar and banana slices, Tuesday I had yogurt and strawberries and today I had vanilla and banana slices. What can I do about this? Thanks in advance.

Yogurt is junk food - check the sugar content. It's like having a couple cans of coke.

And dairy itself is often very poorly tolerated by people's insides. Best thing to do is stay away from milk and yogurt. But yogurt has become pretty horrendous with the sugar content - and if it's some no-sugar kind, that can be even harder on your stomach.
