Do I need a new motor or will these kits work?
So my cylinder 1 and 3 in my SRT-4 have very low compression so my mechanic suggested I get a whole new motor. I plan to drive my car for a long time and want to build it to 500hp. I've found the stage 4 turbo kit that will take it to 500hp and It suggests a bottom end rebuild kit so that your bottom end holds up with 500hp. Well I was gonna get a top end AND bottom end engine rebuild kit, just to make sure my engine holds up perfectly fine with 500hp. So I'm definitely buying my top end engine rebuild kit AND bottom end engine rebuild kit, but my question is, do I need to buy a whole new motor, THEN buy the rebuild kits? Or wil I fix my engines low cylinder compression problems with the top end and bottom end rebuild kits? I'm very confused. Help!!

If you plan to boost a SRT-4 to ~500 hp, get used to buying new engines.
At that level of boost engine life is measured with a clock , not a calender. "Stage 4" means you hope it lasts the race, you know it wont last the season, no matter what "rebuild kit" you use.
Your mechanic is basically saying, the engine is stuffed, buy a rebuilt long block and keep driving, rather than sticking band-aids on this one. Tell him you want to boost it to 2X the HP, and he will probably fall over laughing.

Thats 125hp/ cylinder. Have fun buying new turbos and engines every 10,000 miles. Front wheel drive can not handle the power. Its useless.
