Would I pass a security check for employment if I only have a DUI conviction?

Over 6 years ago I was convicted of a DUI and a hit and run. Would I pass a security check for employment?

Or do I 'require' a pardon?

Update:

I am considering applying to the banks or the LCBO.. Not sure if that matters.

There is NO SUCH THING as passing or failing a security check for employment. You pass of fail based on what the INDIVIDUAL employer accepts or doesn't accept. As a rule, unless driving is the job, most employers won't care about a 6 year old DUI.
