What 1970 british movie was about a guy who sold his soul to satin, and got tricked, but in the end beat satin out ?

    Bedazzled, with Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. Actually that was in 1967. The film was remade in 2000 but I like the Cook/More version better.

    It's an old theme in literature, movies, etc. where someone sells his soul to the Devil, he gets cheated, but he wins in the end. We call it a 'Faustian bargain' after Faust, a German legend going back to the Renaissance.
