How can I sensitively ask my friend about his sexuality?
I don't want to be rude or offensive but he hasn't told me directly that he is gay. I think that he is bisexual. I used to have a crush on him(&he knew) so I don't want him to think that I still do just because I ask. But how should I do this???

Well why do you think you should know? That is his personal business and not yours. He might well be offended if you think he is bi or gay and he is straight.
