Why don't I enjoy gaming as much as I used to?

Your tastes in activities will change over time & games that you enjoyed in the past may not fill the desires that you had before. You may also find games that you thought were boring more interesting now... this is a normal thing.

You may be running into law of diminishing returns as well & probably need a break from it. Just try something different for a while. If you have friends nearby, try playing a few tabletop games or even try to get into a legacy game like Risk Legacy or Pandemic Legacy (CAUTION: Legacy games carry a session commitment... around 12-15 games to complete) just to shake things up.

If you still want to play a game, try doing a special challenge on a favorite game like the Nuzlock Challenge on a Pokémon title or a swordless run on Legend of Zelda (NES)... it may provide just that extra twist you need to renew your interest.

You can also take a hard break for a while as well, as the games will be waiting for you when you get back... so there's no one solution for you. Just do what you enjoy (within the confines of local, state / regional & federal laws & regulations).

And sometimes I think about the fact that some really good popular games got old which makes me less interested in new games. And some of these new games are crap -_-

Many of our interest in activities change when we are younger. Most of us don't have hobbies and so gaming fills that void as we grow up and we experience different things we gain more interest some of which we find ourselves giving more and more time to vrs playing games IE if an interest simulates our brains more than gaming then gaming will inevitably be placed/ranked further back in the mind until we find ourselves not playing games much at all. Even though our interest in gaming has changed it dosn't mean we cant enjoy some of the our old favorites If you like to play retro games check this out

You grew up, and your taste changed. Why don't you try RPG games instead and see if you would like it. Sport games and games like COD are repetitive and can get boring after a while. A game with a story line can really make you feel immersed.

Hi, it is natural to lose interest in something you used to do. I understand that there are things that you can't let go but we should learn new things and new activities.

Have you tried beer? If I'm not drinking, video games are very boring to me and I'd rather be outside or doing something active. Yep, getting older sucks. ;)

It happens as you get older. You get less patient. So games seem more like chores rather than fun. I know how that feels. Some games can get you back in that feeling but only if the story is good.

Maybe you have more responsibilities that are holding you back, since everyone gets responsibilities when we grow up.

Maybe you dont like shooting games anymore,try a different game genre and see if the flow comes back.

Stop playing games for 5 months or more.At one point you will desperately want to get back.
