I currently have a credit score of 576 on equifax and 617 on transunion. Two open accounts in good standing two closed accounts 1 good standing 1 write off debt to a credit card company almost 4 years ago. I need a loan desperately at the moment and need some advice on where any one if anyone would possibly give me a loan. And Advice.

Unfortunately, that one write-off will haunt you for 3 more years and cause you problems getting loans, mortgages, and some insurance and jobs. Your low score will prevent you from getting a loan from most legitimate sources, even at a high interest rate. You should be trying to build back your score to the 680-710 level because it's not going to improve automatically. Get a low-limit or "secured" credit card, use it often, and pay off the bill every month on time.

As the others have indicated, the low score and the prior writeoff will probably make it impossible for you at this time to get an unsecure loan. You might see if your employer will give you an advance on your pay (but remember that will come out of your next paycheck so you won't have that money to pay other bills). You might see if you can pawn something to get what you need, and pay off the pawn loan to get your item back when you can.

    Approval odds: Low

    Advice: Live within your means

    After Whiny Comment:

That's super terrific but, if you lived within your means, why does your credit score scream, "Deadbeat," Sweetheart?

No chance of being approved. Do not apply. All you will do is to lower your score so that you don't get approved later.

not with those credit scores and a default on your credit history, Personal loans are for people with stellar credit

Personal loans are the toughest to get.

With credit scores below 750 or so, "tough" becomes "impossible"..
