Yes. The Republicans in Kansas slashed taxes so much that they've turned into Mississippi. California had incessant budget problems until they elected a Democratic super majority to their legislature and suddenly they have balanced budgets every year and their economy is humming along like a well tuned machine.

It wasn't that long ago that California had the 5th largest economy in the world...
... and before you dig into your bag of parrot points and claim "stronger global economies".... explain how Texas rose up the list while California fell...
...100,000 government workers California make over $100,000 a year....and when they stop working California taxpayers will be responsible for paying their pensions for the rest of their lives...
...every year, California adds billions in costs due to guaranteed pensions alone.....meanwhile, the old claim that "they'll pay more to live here is disproved... your own boast actually affirms how California's economy has actually SHRUNK in just three decades...
Kansas is trying to take a hit now to prevent the exponentially bigger one that is looming for California over the next decade...
