The guest list. Reason being, I have a very large extended family and because my parents paid for the wedding, there was some head-butting over who exactly made the list.

  • I think that my parents are trying to plan my wedding for me, when I can handle doing some of the things on my own. They are helping me out financially but I should still get what I want / like. I'm not really getting any thing that I would like to have at my wedding. My suggestions get tossed a side for something of theirs or that they want at my wedding.

They all ready have a flower girl dress that they want to use so I wouldn't have to get an extra dress.

Also most recently I've been starting to think about what I want to do for thank yous or give a ways. I suggested to have wedding fans as favors as my ceremony is hopefully going to be out side and in summer, so people would have a way to cool down besides drinking. My parents wanted to scrap the fan idea (they even said people wouldn't appreciate the fans) and have home made mini bottles of wine instead at the reception.

Four weeks before our wedding, we were told the musician my husband had (in theory) hired had moved away. Someone in my family knew a guitarist who was free that day and willing to play.

Input from other people. We just smiled, thanked them then did what we wanted.
