You can expect it to not think or act like a German Shepherd Dog. Since your considering on purchasing a powerful, protective and dominant breed, don't you think YOU should be doing a whole heck of a lot of research?

With the Dobie - a LOT less shedding and hair in the house! And less health issues - better hips, no pannus, less osteosarcoma bone cancer. Both can have Von Willebrand's disease.

I've owned both breeds.

By asking a question like this one, its obvious NO reputable breeder would sell you a puppy since this breed is NOT suitable for novice owners. Especially one that hasn't even done basic research into puppy care.
