(Illinois-Chicago) Is it legal to carry a sword for the purpose of self-defense?

in modern, 2017 rendition of Chicago law, is it legal to carry a sword for the purpose of self-defense and no unlawful intent what so ever?

Or would self-defense using a sword be considered unlawful intent?

The sword is 19 inches in length.

A sword of that length would be considered a knife and a lethal weapon. It is not a practical sword and would be completely useless in a knife fight. Talk to a cop and see what they would do to you if they caught you with one. They don't take kindly to idiots with sharp toys. They shoot them.
