How stupid can people be , ? on the tv news yesterday , a man having a bath decided to charge up his phone . slippery hands , everything went in the water, he died .

People just don't have that knowledge anymore. They assume the electricity will turn off when it shorts.
Many bathrooms do have special circuit breakers to prevent this, but he used an extension cord from another room.

That's nature's way of thinning the herd. I understand the idiot is up for the Darwinian Award trophy... Sometimes all we can do is bow our heads (to hide our smirks), close our eyes and slowing shake our heads from side to side... yet it continues to happen, and the herd is thinned bit by bit, one at a time but just not fast enough, evidently.

Um....the output from a phone charger is 5 volts, no more than 1 or 2 amps. That's not going to kill anybody except maybe a gerbil.

Its a crazy world. If a novelist wrote that in a work of fiction the reader would not accept that anyone could be so stupid !
