I had a dream (well, nightmare). Can somebody help me interpret it?

In my nightmare my cat's head was somehow bit or ripped off and she blinked once but her body was still walking around. There were two dogs, one on either side of her and one was bent down cowering. It was disconcerting, to say the least. I was screaming "no" over and over again so loud (in my dream) but no sound was coming out of my mouth. Does anybody know what this means?

I am going to surmise that you are worried about stability of your household and your ability to provide for your animals. Otherwise, you fear something which will potentially harm your animals.

Since you are female, you assume the "feline" characteristics of cats....Feline is connected with feminine so you feel as if you have been attacked and are running around with your head chapped off. You see yourself as being controlled by the dogs who represent the other ppl in your Life. It is interesting that you continue to live even without your head...so you see you do not see yourself as a loser, but rather a fighter. It is a dream well disguised so you can allow yourself to express your fears and come to some conclusion about your ability to withstand any attack in real Life.

My mom has dreams like this too- sometimes when you lose someone or a pet in your life the fear of losing another can bury itself in your heart.

It comes from a good place, you want to protect them as best as you can and create memories together but in the end life can be cruel and take away people or pets you love dearly.

I would say this is just a stress dream that could cause some vulnerable feelings, just spend time with your cat and don't worry about it too much cause it's good you care about your feline friend.

You could have a fear of losing your cat, possibly. But this could be taken other ways. You could just be afraid of seeing a loss in front of your own eyes, the cat symbolizing that. I don't know much about this kind of thing but that's the best answer I have.
