Will my dog and cat ever be able to be friends?

So I found 2 kittens in my garage one morning and managed to grab one and the other got away. I raised the kitten inside the house while the dogs stayed in the backyard. A few weeks after I found the kitten I see my 2ish year old husky with the other kitten that had got away. Dead of course.. He was chewing on it. So it's starting to get hot and I usually let the dogs inside over the summer. So should I even try to introduce them or is it a lost cause?

    No. Huskies have a very high prey drive and are notorious cat killers. They will never be friends - and he's going to kill any cat or kitten you introduce him to.

    It may not be a good idea, as the dog will smell it as food
