How could I be overweight?
My doctor says I'm overweight and I'm only 6'1" and weigh approx 165 pounds, with a 29" waist. I am a MALE, 22 yrs old my doctor is an older female. So how could she be right? I thought I was doing well. My BMI is not that high. I used to weight 190 lbs but I lost it all in about three months earlier this year.

The "dick money" is right, your BMI is NORMAL and your waist is lean.
You can tell the BMI is worthless because it won't account for muscle, fat, bone, steroid use, years of weight lifting, or anything else. It just looks at your height and weight. With that the entire NFL would be overweight. Since we don't know you, how can we tell if you are in the NFL? Maybe you are part of the NBA? Some players, like Lebron James, are in top condition from decades of intense playing. Do you really think just because he weighs 250 lbs he is overweight?
I'd get another doctor or nurse if mine said that at your height and weight.

Your doctor is an idiot. She deserves to lose her job for this. You are actually NORMAL BMI and your waist is VERY lean. For reference, I can see the top of my abs and have a 32 inch waist.
Anyway, BMI is worthless as it doesn't account for muscle. Just about the entire NFL has high BMI and even some NBA players like Lebron, who's in tip top condition.
I'd tell another doctor or nurse she said that. They will probably laugh.

She was probably being polite and meant 'fat' when she said weight.
Most people don't know what the difference is, so doctors have to try to use regular lingo to communicate their point.

Are you still 'pudgy'? It depends on how your weight sits on you, not your total poundage.
