Has society considered women in the past to be "inferior" to man, because of the Biblical story where Eve was tempted by Satan, and not Adam?

Update:

Or, perhaps, it is a different reason altogether?

    Yes. They want to blame women for all the wrong in the world. But if you read the story, nothing happened when Eve ate the fruit. Nothing. Only when Adam ate it did they get punished. It proves Adam was weak.

    Possibly, but let's not forget that in the story (which of course is a metaphor, not an actual historical event), Adam got talked into eating the fruit a lot more easily than Eve did. So who's more at fault: Eve, who after all was tricked by a guy with supernatural powers, or Adam, who was tricked by a mere fellow human being? Where's his superiority there?

    Eve was created to "be a helper for Adam and a compliment" of him. Children are to be obedient to both mother and father. When women live their lives according to Bible principles concerning marriage the marriage mates are so much more happy and content. Besides that, Eve blamed the Devil and Adam blamed his wife. Adam could have stayed faithful instead of listening to his wife and blaming her afterward for his downfall. This is why it is so important for faithful people not to go along with the crowd, but to stand out because of their strong faith. Jehovah's Witnesses are known throughout the earth as being different, yet they are no different than the 1st century Christians who listened to Christ Jesus and lived their lives as "The Way" of the truth. Acts 9:1 and 2 "But Saul, still breathing threat and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that he might bring bound to Jerusalem any whom he found who belonged to The Way, both men and women." Jehovah's Witnesses, although in more than 240 countries, have the same name on their places of worship everywhere. More than 10 million people from all religions, nationalities, languages and backgrounds are studying the Bible, learning what the Bible really teaches and are in unity of thought and beliefs because of it. Jesus Christ told his followers that they should all "have the mind of Christ." 1Corinthians 2:16 You can learn Bible truths for yourself if you go to the international website, jw.org and Bible Teachings > Bible Questions Answered. If women were inferior to men, would Jehovah God give them authority to preach the good news earth wide, even calling them his "large army?" Psalms68:11 "Jehovah gives the command; The women proclaiming the good news are a large army." Jesus Christ prophesied how far reached the good news would be proclaimed. I'm tired of that kind of question. Satan tempted BOTH Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:6).

    Not inferior, but different.....Genesis 2:22-24 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

    23 The man said,

    “This is now bone of my bones

    and flesh of my flesh;

    she shall be called ‘woman,’

    for she was taken out of man.”

    24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.

    That would appear at first glance to be a reasonable explanation but then we remember that all over the world, including countries tthat have never accepted the Bible women have always been considered inferior to men, and still are among a lot of Neanderthals. Any halfwit that still thinks that should try to experience the pain women frequently have giving birth

    It's because, on average, men are smarter and stronger.

    First of all, it's not all that much in the past, and also, poor treatment of women has long existed in societies that couldn't care one bit about the Bible.
