will marine heat shrink protect from gasoline?

I had to install a new fuel pump for someone and I had to splice into the old wiring harness and solder a new harness for the fuel pump. I soldered the connections and sealed them over with marine heat shrink from harbor freight. is this safe for long term? as for today the truck ran fine but I dont know if I really made the right call using regular marine heat shrink. is it gasoline safe?
