if i give away my cat, will he get depressed or die of a broken heart?
I've had a cat for about 4 months now, I saved him off the streets and ever since he's been very very attached to me. He cries whenever I leave the room. But ever since I first got him he's been fighting nonstop with my other cats and he hates my parents. He bites my parents. The cat never does that to me. We finally made the choice that we'll have to give up the cat, and I wish we don't have to but it's for the best. I've tried everything to help the cats get along but there's no way that's happening. If I give up my cat will he be really upset? Like will he hate me or get depressed? I don't want him being sad....

He won't be sad, cats settle down quite quickly, as long as they have food and a bit of attention they are fine.

LOL. The only way a cat's heart is broken is if you refuse to feed it. The cat will get "attached" to the next person who feeds it.

Cats can't became depressed and no cat has ever died of a broken heart much less suffered from a broken heart since they can't love
Your parents clearly do something to torment the cat other wise it would never bite them. And you don't have to give it up nor is i the best thing to do, its the LAZY thing to do.
